Well the jokes on me because, despite everything I was saying last week, I do have a job now, after all! Ive started waitressing (serving?) at the Dickens Restaurant Cafe Bar in Halstead. Ive never understood why people went from being waitresses and waiters to servers. I mean, I get that its a gender-neutral noun, but Id rather be waiting on someone that serving them. You know what I mean? Anyway, its a really sweet restaurant and I like it there a lot so far. My favorite thing about it is that its built directly over the river Colne, so when you look out the window you see the water and the geese and its really sweet:
Plus, Chef Dicken is really sweet, but also very serious and particular. Which I like! So profesh.
