woodcuts

Full disclosure: I first saw the work of Bryan Nash Gill in the halloween issue of Martha Stewart Living. So this might not be the hippest thing youve ever heard about... but she does have good taste--or, the editor does--and arent these prints so beautiful? Gill does a lot of wood carving, and one day he realized that the raw logs hed been using for his sculpture were also the perfect thing for printing. And these prints are the very perfect thing. Obviously, theyre the size of the logs used to make them, but wouldnt the be amazing blown up really big and hung on the living room wall in your rustic-yet-spacious summer cabin? (Yes, they would)
